Field characters. 38-42 cm. Pale green, long-tailed parakeet. Black and pink neck-ring present in adults but absent in juveniles. Bill red with black tip.

Voice. Noisy. Screams repeated "kee-ak".

Distribution. In Europe introduced in Britain, Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany. Originates from India and Afrotropics.

Habitat. Usually parks.

Food. Seeds, berries, and fruits. Feral birds are omnivorous.
